In a not-so-surprising decision by the judges, basketball player Ron Artest was the first to go off DWTS this week.
In yesterday’s show opener reports, we had one of the judges comparing him to a “terrified duckling” and another calling him “sexy”, but today it looks like the duckling perspective more accurately foretold his future on DWTS! The basketball star, who recently changed his name to Metta World Peace, couldn’t make his cha-cha work for himself and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd. Season 13 of Dancing With The Stars will now go on devoid of Peta and Metta!
DWTS, which started with 12 celebrities paired with their partners, is now down to 11, with Metta World Peace out of the picture. Those who just about scraped through to the next round include Chaz Bono and partner Lacey Schwimmer, who received thunderous applause and cheers for pulling through, and Italian TV host and George Clooney’s ex, Elisabetta Canalis with partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
With Ron Artest the first to go on DWTS, the rest of the competitors are gearing up for the next round; as reported yesterday, Martinez and Phillips hold the most points, both tied with each other, with Kristin Cavallari and partner Mark Ballas are not far behind. Dance on!
